ABOUT

Dr. Mikyung Lim

Pianist Mikyung Lim earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at the University of North Texas with a scholarship for the whole doctorate degree program and currently serves on the music faculty of the California Arts University, teaching Individual Instruction (Piano) and Advanced Ear-Training.

After Dr. Lim made a public debut at Carnegie Hall in New York, she has been appearing in piano and ensemble music recitals, as well as dedicating to Church Music as the music director at the St. Anselm Episcopal Church in Garden Grove. She is also an active member of various professional music organizations such as the Music Teachers National Association, the Music Teacher’s Association of California, and the College Music Society.

As her reserch “Norwegian Folk Elements in Thomas Tellefsen’s Mazurkas” was selected for the MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) Piano Pedagogy Symposium, she was invited to give a presentation at the University of South Carolina.
